is an Internet Access Provider located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Our company was founded on June 01, 1999. Since that time, we have been driven by your needs to evolve into our current service offerings. We listen to what you ask for and do our best to provide it to you. Our number one goal is to bring the Internet to you the way you need the Internet. Hence, our motto:

Since its founding Digitalputty has been one of those absurd companies that tries to actually give their customers the best internet access for the lowest possible price. While we haven't bought into the ideology of creating a huge pop hoping for the quick IPO we have definitely tried to grow our company for the simple reason of meeting our operating costs.

In order to provide you with the fastest most stable internet access available we have constantly had to add new services and keep equipment upgraded to the point that nothing in our shop ever collects any dust..

We appreciate all of you who have hung in there with us through our growth phase(s) and look forward to continuing to serve you. And for those of you who are considering joining our ranks rest assured that whoever you are currently using for access to the internet, they too at some time will have to expand or die. The good thing to remember about Digitalputty is that we have already positioned our company to handle several years of uninterrupted growth.

Joseph Lea

is a long time local of San Luis Obispo. Starting in 1978 at Cayucos Elementary School, then on to Coast Union High School, and Cuesta Community College, Joseph finally earned his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1989 from Cal Poly, SLO. After taking several companies to the next level he finally decided it was time to come home and strike out on his own.

Joseph's philosophy has always been to provide the best possible internet access to his customers. While that can get costly it truly is the only reason he wishes to continue to do business here on the Central Coast.

When you call Digitalputty a real human answers the telephone. If you come by our office you can speak directly to a real human. We are not a large venture capital backed corporate monolith. Digitalputty is a small local startup company founded by a couple guys who grew up on the central coast and is managed by their friends and family.

Our personal goals are to live and work in this community so we have to maintain a high level of integrity in order to establish and maintain long term relationships. We will always go the extra mile to find a solution that will work for each and every customer no matter how big or how small.

When it comes to customer service, you can count on Digitalputty to be polite, courteous, patient, and above all helpful. If for some reason you are dissatisfied with the service you are getting then by all means we want to know about it.

Cool Toys

ok we'd be lying if we didn't call them toys. Cisco, Lucent, Nortel, ADC, Livingston, you name it. If it's what it takes to give you the best access possible then we're using it. Yes Virginia, all this gear does cost hundreds of thousands of dollars so when you are signing up up for "free service" with that other ISP, think about the integrity of who you are dealing with. There is no such thing as a free lunch but we do our best to take the burden off of you.

Our physical network is comprised of two major components. Our Primary Network is located in San Luis Obispo, CA. From that facility we route all of our DSL, T1, and Webhosting traffic, as well as our authentication, DNS, and FTP. All of our dialup numbers aggregate in Los Angeles, CA. So, in order to handle Statewide Internet Access we have built out an entire Secondary Network ( dpii ) in a Colo facility in downtown Ellay.
