| This tutorial is designed to walk you through how to configure
the Macintosh OS X Mail client for use with the Digitalputty email services. |
| You will need your email server settings to set up your email
program. The email server settings are provided in the tutorial, however
you may want to print out our Server
Settings support page as it contains all necessary email server information
and more to get you configured properly and online now! |
You must meet these minimum requirements before setting up the MAC OS X email client:
A. The Apple Macintosh OS X must be installed.
B. Your Dial Up connection must already be configured.

| BEGIN SETUP |
- Open Mail.

- From the Mail menu, select Preferences.

- Click on Accounts for creating or editing each email address you use.
Modify Check accounts for new mail and Play sound when new mail arrives as you see fit.
- Click onthe Create Account button.

- Click the arrow box for Account Type and select POP Account
from the list.
- In the Description field, enter a description for this email
account.
- In the Email Address field, enter your email address (e.g.
username@digitalputty.com).
- In the Full Name field, enter your full name (or the name
you want people to see when you send them email, such as an alias).
- In the Host name field, enter mail.digitalputty.com
- In the User name field, enter your Digitalputty username.
- In the Password field, enter your account password.
- In the SMTP Host field, enter mail.digitalputty.com

- Click on the Account Options tab.
- Check the box next to Delete messages on server after downloading.
- Click the OK button.

- Close the Mail Preferences window
